Valley Center Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in 2004 by Erik Jensen. A former insurance litigation attorney and insurance adjuster who has over twenty years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Our goal is to provide our clients with honest, appropriate, expertise in the many types of insurance available, and then to follow-up with excellent customer service. We sincerely appreciate our clients’ business and our team is very willing to work hard to keep it.
Erik is the Founder and Owner of Valley Center Insurance Agency, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. He is a former insurance litigation attorney and insurance adjuster who has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He has been a licensed insurance agent since 1999. Erik grew up in Valley Center on an 11-acre avocado and lemon ranch and returned to Valley Center in 2002 with his wife and eventually, five children.
Rick Restivo manages all health insurance for Valley Center Insurance Agency. He has extensive knowledge in all types of healthcare products, and has been consulting with individuals and business owners on health benefits for over 15 years. He excels in developing employee benefit plans for employer groups of all sizes. Rick is certified to offer all Medicare health products, and specializes in assisting individuals transition from employer group health plans to Medicare. Rick is also a licensed and certified Healthcare Consultant for Covered CA, and can assist individuals and families in understanding and purchasing individual health insurance policies. Though Rick specializes in health-related products, he is a licensed insurance agent and can assist clients in the purchase of all types of insurance, including farm insurance, home, auto, health, and long-term care insurance.
Eduardo is our Personal Lines Agent in the Valley Center office and he likes to go the extra mile to make sure all our clients are well taken care of. He’s been an agent for eight years with experience in both personal and commercial insurance. Eduardo is a 1st generation immigrant born in Guatemala. He came to California when he was seven years old. California has been his home ever since. As a parent of four kids, three of which are under the age of 18, he is always involved in some kind of youth activity. Eduardo is a travel enthusiast, has visited over nine countries in the world, and is always looking foward to his next adventure.
Kim obtained her insurance license in 2017 because she wanted to have a more interactive relationship with her clients. Commercial insurance is her specialty. She is a Commercial Account Manager/ Broker who helps clients with workers compensation, commercial general liability, excess/umbrella policies, E & O, and other lines of insurance. Contractors, farms, ranches and horse properties is what brought her to Valley Center Insurance Agency. She lives in Ramona and loves the country life and the people that come with it. Valley Center Insurance is a great agency that truly appreciates each and every one of their clients.
Wendy a/k/a "The Financial Lyon" has been a life and health insurance agent for 10 years. She specializes in coordinating strategies for her clients’ lives – whether they’re just starting out or planning for retirement. Wendy learned the hard way about not protecting what matters most - your life - early on. After her husband died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 24, she was left to raise two daughters, 1 and 3 years old, without having planned for the worst or having anywhere near adequate life insurance in place. There are no "do overs" in life, and Wendy's passion is to inform, educate, and empower individuals and businesses with lessons learned from her experience - to first build wealth on a solid foundation that protects what matters most – your life. Wendy can be heard on KCBQ, ESPN, seen on OANN, SD CW6 and volunteers her time raising funds to fight human trafficking.

Victoria joined our agency in 2018. She earned her California Health License in August of 2020. As a personal and health lines customer service representative, Victoria has had the opportunity to obtain a vast knowledge of the insurance industry. Victoria is a 39-year resident of Valley Center and graduated in 2001 from Valley Center High School. She also graduated from the Nursing Program at Palomar College in 2016. As an Agent and Customer Service Representative, she enjoys providing great customer service to our clients and giving a personalize touch to every need our clients have - big or small.
Brittany is a Commercial Account Manager/Broker in the Valley Center office. She obtained her insurance license in 2012. She was encouraged by her mother, who is also an insurance agent, to learn the profession at a young age. Her favorite part about the job is giving people advice, guidance, and making insurance more approachable. She has experience in writing new policies, servicing the policies, and claims. She was drawn to Valley Center Insurance Agency, “because I was impressed by the amazing team of people led by a dedicated owner. Here you are not just a number.” Brittany lives in Oceanside and loves to spend her days off going to the beach or walking her two pugs.
Rachel became an agent in 1994, and her primary experience is personal lines, home and auto insurance. However, in the last five years, she’s been servicing and writing farm policies as well. Rachel works in the Escondido office, where she’s been for 15 years. Rachel enjoys giving personalized customer service and sharing her knowledge and expertise with our clients. Rachel grew up in Valley Center in the early 1970’s and has been a long-time resident. She’s married and has three boys, who also had the privilege of growing up in Valley Center.
Rhona started working in insurance in June 2020 and became a licensed agent in March, 2021. Don’t be fooled by my length of experience, though! Insurance has become her passion, and Rhona has gained a great amount of knowledge in a short time. She specializes in personal lines and is also been trained in commercial lines. Rhona says, “I love my job, and it is my pleasure to give our clients the best customer service, and care.” She lives in the little town of Julian with my husband and four kids.
